Welcome to St. Nick’s – Sunday 8th September

As the seasons begin to change and the crispness of autumn approaches, I find myself reflecting on the beauty of God’s creation and the ways in which He guides us through each new chapter in our lives. There’s something profoundly spiritual about this time of year—a reminder that just as the leaves turn and the air cools, we too are invited to embrace change and seek God’s direction for the season ahead.

In my prayers, I’ve been asking God, “What do You have for St. Nick’s in this next season?” I believe that He is calling us into a time of renewed purpose and deeper community, a season where we grow together in faith, love, and service. Whether it’s through worship, fellowship, or outreach, I sense that God has wonderful plans for our church, and I am excited to see how He will work in and through each one of us.

On September 8th, we will gather for a special service that marks the beginning of this new season—a “Blessing of the Backpacks” in church. As our children and young people prepare to return to school, we want to send them off with our prayers and blessings, asking God to be with them in their studies, friendships, and daily challenges. It’s a beautiful tradition, and I encourage everyone to participate, whether you’re a student, teacher, or simply someone who wants to pray for the young hearts in our community.

As we enter this new season, let’s continue to seek God’s guidance and open our hearts to the ways He is moving among us. I look forward to walking this journey with you and seeing how God will bless St. Nick’s in the days to come.

In Christ’s love and service,

Augustine
