Welcome to St. Nick’s for Trinity 3, Father’s Day, Sunday 16th June.
Dear Friends, This week’s gospel reading brings to light the parable of the mustard seed.In the Gospel according to Mark, Jesus imparts two parables that delve into the themes of growth, patience, and hope. As Jesus captivates ever-growing audiences with his teachings, these parables elucidate the manner in which his words are absorbed and embraced. The journey of faith is likened to the transformation of a tiny seed into a magnificent tree with expansive branches, provided it flourishes in conducive conditions. The wonders of nature echo the divine, revealing God’s omnipresence and essence. Attuning ourselves to our role within the ebb and flow of the natural world aids in contemplating our spiritual odyssey alongside God. It encourages us to express gratitude and to mourn our shortcomings in aiding God’s nurturing care of creation. Contemplating collective and personal actions to undertake this critical mission is a worthy endeavour. With every blessing, Alison Mills ALM and Churchwarden Sunday 16th June, Trinity 3 This Sunday we will look forward to welcoming Rev Glenys Richards, who regularly joins our Wednesday morning service, to preside and preach.
