Welcome to St.Nick’s for April 2025
Dear St. Nick’s Family,
This Sunday, as we journey closer to Holy Week, our Gospel reading from John 12:1-8 brings us into an intimate and powerful moment—Mary anointing Jesus’ feet with costly perfume. It’s a story of extravagant love, deep devotion, and a challenge to our priorities.
Judas scoffs at the waste, but Jesus sees the beauty in Mary’s act. Her worship is costly, but love often is. As we prepare our hearts for Easter, this passage invites us to reflect: What does it mean for us to love Jesus extravagantly? How do we pour ourselves out in service and devotion?
I look forward to worshipping with you all this Sunday as we reflect on this call to love boldly and generously.
With blessings,
Revd Dr. Augustine Tanner-Ihm
