Welcome to St. Nicks 27th April to 4th May 2025

Dear Beloved Parishioners

As I sit at my desk, I am filled with awe at the glory and joy of the Lord. The season of Easter is upon us, a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a reminder that Easter is not just a day, but a season—a season of living the resurrection life and looking forward to seeing Christ in His fullness.

In this season, we are called to embrace the new life that Christ has given us through His resurrection. It is a time to reflect on the transformative power of His love and to seek His presence in our daily lives. As we journey together, let us remember that the resurrection is not just an event in history, but a living reality that continues to shape and inspire us.

I am continually calling and asking the Lord to do so much more for our parish. My heart is not only with the 50 or so faithful who gather at St. Nick’s but also with the thousands in our parish who have yet to encounter the person of Jesus and be impacted by the Spirit. It is my fervent prayer that we, as a community, will be a beacon of His love and grace, reaching out to those who are searching for hope and meaning.

Come, Lord Jesus! May we be instruments of Your peace and vessels of Your love, bringing the message of the resurrection to all corners of our parish. Let us live out our faith with joy and conviction, knowing that we are part of a greater story of redemption and renewal.Thank you for your continued faithfulness and dedication to our parish. I look forward to journeying with you in this season of Easter and beyond, as we seek to see Christ in His fullness and share His love with all.

In Christ’s love and service

,Revd Dr. Augustine Tanner-Ihm

Almighty Father,
who in your great mercy gladdened the disciples with the sight of the risen Lord:
give us such knowledge of his presence with us,
that we may be strengthened and sustained by his risen life
and serve you continually in righteousness and truth;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
