St Nicholas Church – An Inclusive Church
St Nick’s is a member of Inclusive Church, joining a growing band of churches rethinking what it means to welcome everyone.
We believe in welcoming everyone, wherever they are on their spiritual journey and whatever they believe. Whether you’re a believer or a doubter, young or old, gay or straight, cisgender or transgender – or a Manchester United fan, a Manchester City supporter, or someone who doesn’t care for football at all – you are warmly welcome at St Nick’s.
What We Believe
“We believe in inclusive Church – church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”

Inclusion at St Nick’s
Being an inclusive church means making sure everyone can take part in the life of St Nick’s. We are also a dementia-friendly church, with a monthly dementia-friendly Craft and Coffee Afternoon, and our Sunday services are streamed online for anyone who can’t be with us in person.
