10:30 a.m. Parish Communion & Junior Church
Our main service of the week is our Sunday morning Parish Communion. The regular congregation at St Nick’s is diverse and welcoming – newcomers often comment on the ‘family’ feel. Our worship is liturgical but lively, holding together both traditional and more contemporary elements as we celebrate the love of Christ together. We take our commitment to accessibility and inclusion in worship very seriously. For the younger members of our community, a Junior Church session takes place twice a month during the service. The service lasts about an hour and is followed by tea, coffee and refreshments.
8.30 a.m. Holy Communion (BCP) (First Sunday of the Month)
On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate communion using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer. This shorter said service lasts about half an hour, and is particularly valued by those seeking a quieter opportunity to worship and pray on a Sunday morning.
Wednesday 10:00 a.m. Holy Communion
On Wednesday mornings there is a said communion service attended by a
small but regular congregation. The service uses the Church of England’s
contemporary liturgy in modern language.
Tuesday 7.30 p.m. Taizé Evening Prayer (First Tuesday of the Month)
On the first Tuesday of each month we hold a popular Taizé service. Through chant, candlelight, silence and singing, this service provides an enchanting and meditative atmosphere to pray and connect with God. It is followed by hot drinks and refreshments.
Everybody is welcome!
