Welcome to St Nick’s on Sunday 6th October – Harvest

As we step into October and the heart of autumn—my favorite season, or “fall,” as we call it in the U.S.—I am reminded of the beauty and transformation that comes with this time of year. The crispness in the air, the vibrant colors of the trees, and the slow descent into winter all speak of change and new beginnings. This week’s Lectionary reading, Matthew 21:33-46, shares a powerful parable about tenants in a vineyard, reminding us that we are stewards of God’s creation. As we reflect on this, let’s think about how we, as a church community, can be good stewards of our gifts and resources.

Here in East Didsbury and Burnage, St. Nick’s continues to be a place of creativity, community, and compassion. Together, we are working to live out our vision as a beacon of hope and love for all. As autumn brings change to the world around us, may we also embrace the opportunity to grow, serve, and connect with one another more deeply.

With every blessing,

Augustine
