Sunday 2nd July 2023 (Trinity 4)

Welcome to St. Nicks for Trinity 4 Sunday 2nd July.

The Gospel reading for this Sunday is Matthew 10: 24-38.

In this passage, Jesus concludes his teaching on mission by stressing the close identification between Father God, Jesus himself, those who go in his name, and those who receive his followers in the right spirit. He sends his disciples out to preach in his name, and they are to assume that God will provide for them.

Here we get a glimpse into God’s economy, where those who give to others are rewarded by their heavenly father, even if they give just a cup of cold water to someone who needs it. This week we explore how we represent Jesus. (copyright@Roots)

Our service on Sunday morning begins at 10.30 am. We look forward to welcoming Fr Philip Meadows to preside, our organist and MD, Ollie Mills, will accompany the hymns and lead the singing.
